Since January 6, 2026, armed attacks have escalated with a clear objective: to crush grassroots democracy, erase women’s liberation, and re-impose patriarchal, centralized rule through terror.

The attack on the Self-Administration territories has continued relentlessly since the beginning of the year. On January 30, another so-called “agreement” was announced between the Self-Administration Territories and the Syrian transitional government. We have witnessed enough of these agreements over months and years to state clearly: Al-Jolani, his allies, and their agreements cannot be trusted.
