International Women’s Alliance – Europe in Solidarity with the Filipino People: Justice, Accountability, and the Fight Against Impunity
As women and migrants in Europe, we call for:
Full accountability for Rodrigo Duterte and all those responsible for extrajudicial killings;
Continued support for international justice mechanisms, including the ICC;
Accountability for corruption and human rights abuses under the current administration of Ferdinand Marcos Jr.;
An end to the system of political dynasties, oligarchic control, and bureaucratic capitalism that perpetuates inequality and injustice.
We stand with Filipino women, workers, and communities in their calls for justice:
Justice for the victims of extrajudicial killings.
Justice for the victims of state violence.
End impunity now.
In solidarity, we reaffirm our commitment to support women and people’s movements, amplify the voices of victims, and strengthen international pressure to hold perpetrators accountable.
The struggle continues—not only to remember the past, but to transform the present.
Demand the immediate Release of Comrade Booker Ngesa Omole! Extend Solidarity to the Kenyan Revolution!
The International Women's Alliance decries the violent kidnapping of Comrade Booker Ngesa Omole, secretary general of of the Communist Party of Marxist Kenya (CPMK), and condemns the US-backed Ruto regime for its blatant fascist attack against CPMK, their organizations, and all those fighting for the genuine liberation and sovereignty of Kenya. At the hands of the Kenya Police Service, Comrade Omole was kidnapped, tortured, and severely beaten. Police cut him with a pen knife, and broke his teeth and fingers. Afterwards he was taken to Mlolongo Police Station, an infamous site in Kenya for its systematic terror, torture and extrajudicial killings against poor Kenyans and political activists. As of February 26 Comrade Booker was transferred to Kitengela Remand Prison with a broken arm after being denied medical care and bail.
IT'S NOT JUST EPSTEIN: END THE SYSTEM OF PROFITEERING OFF WORKING & POOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN!
The U.S. state, not just in this case but also seen in many cases of trafficking and sexual violence, will always fail to protect women and children. The U.S. has a long legacy of committing genocide, kidnapping, and trafficking oppressed peoples. This collusion of the ruling elite, is a symptom of imperialist crisis and can be linked to the fascist offensive we see unfolding against the people today.
Epstein and his clique are not just responsible for sexual exploitation and trafficking but also the labor trafficking of migrant workers including Filipinos as domestic workers. He utilized predatory recruiters to ensure his island and vacation homes were staffed with migrants from the Global South that were dependent on wages to support their families in their home countries. The migrant workers that Epstein employed from the Philippines and other poor nations were also deceived, silenced, and subject to dangerous, degrading, and compromising situations in which they were stripped of autonomy and their livelihoods constantly threatened.
