Global Day of Action for Palestine: unwavering solidarity with the people of Palestine, long live the resistance!
The International Women’s Alliance (IWA) stands in unwavering solidarity with the people of Palestine, especially the women, children, elders, and all civilians trapped under siege and violence on this October 7. We remember and honor the lives lost, the families torn apart, and the cries of the Palestinian people in their daily fight for survival. We renew our commitment to stand with the Palestinian people in their fight to end the cruel and illegal occupation of the U.S. backed Zionist entity, Israel.
It has been 2 years since Palestinian resistance forces carried out the "Al-Aqsa Flood" - a counteroffensive operation against the US-Zionist state. While the resistance celebrated its strike and uplifts the Palestinian People's right to resist and fight back against occupation, the bloodthirsty Zionist state has responded by ramping up its attempts to annihilate the Palestinian people through mass killings, forced starvation, destruction of health facilities and international isolation. While the occupation has grown more deadly and destructive, the Palestinian people have only become more unrelenting in their justified right to resist until the Israeli Zionist project fails.
This is not a war, but a systematic campaign of erasure and annihilation through displacement, mass starvation, bombardment with unyielding support by the U.S. government. As of September 2025, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reports that since October 7, 2023, at least 65,062 Palestinians have been killed, and 165,697 injured. Since May of this year, there have been 2504 fatalities, and over 18381 injuries that have occurred among people who are attempting to access aid and supplies. According to UN reports, 1.9 million people, 90% of Gaza's population, have been displaced during the war, and many of whom displaced multiple times. Nearly 12,000 children under 5 years old suffer from acute malnutrition. Not to mention the massive destruction to infrastructure, 191,263 buildings damanged ort destroyed. These numbers do not speak of combatants but innocent civilians, whole families, neighborhoods and children under this illegal siege.
IWA categorically condemns the ongoing blockade against Gaza. Israel's systematic assault undeniably bears the hallmarks of genocide under international law due to its campaign of disproportionate violence, collective punishment, and targeted destruction. On October 2, 2025, Israel intercepted most of Global Sumud Flotilla, detaining over 500 activists with many reporting they were tortured and violently mocked by Israeli Occupation Forces. We denounce the interception of the flotilla, and the inhumane treatment of those captured. Instead of watching Palestinians receive much needed food and medical supplies, the world saw how peaceful aid efforts are met with with force. The same tactics that are used to silence the voices of solidarity mirror those used for years against Palestinian freedom fighters and political prisoners - arbitrary arrests, false accusations, denial of due process, and torture.
As the Sumund Flotilla approached Gaza's shores President Trump announced a "20-point plan" for the region which prioritizes Israeli security frameworks while weakening Palestinian sovereignty. All 20 points are an expression of U.S. Imperialist power, domination and control. With support from the Zionist government, Trump's plan is a very clear display of placing strategic economic and political interests above human life. The plan has been met with skepticism because it centers external control over Palestinian governance. Many are also concerned that Trump's 20 point plan will lay the basis to increase the intensity of plans to annex the West Bank. Saudi Arabia and other countries have made it clear that this is a "red line" that Israel must not cross. IWA insists that any plan for peace must be rooted in the voices and decisions of the Palestinian people themselves, particularly women. No just peace can be imposed from above.
Various Palestinian forces have expressed conditional acceptance of framework in order to allow some recovery and respite for the people of Gaza. Their responses underscore what has been made clear and consistent from the start: a complete end to the genocide, the full withdrawal of the occupying forces, and restoration of the Palestinian right to self-determination. IWA echoes these demands!
We call on all people's movement to join IWA in supporting the Global Day of Action for October 7 leby by the International League of People's Struggle - https://peoplesstruggle.org/en/global-day-of-action-for-october-7-2025/

As women in the struggle, we see the threads that connect Gaza to every site of exploitation and dispossession. We see how militarism devours public resources, how patriarchal violence thrives in war, and how imperialist systems extract life from the most vulnerable. The destruction of Gaza’s health and education systems, the targeting of journalists and human rights defenders, the weaponization of hunger, pregnancy, and motherhood — all mirror the wider system of global exploitation, dehumanization, and inequality. We urge all women' organizations, trade unions, faith communities, youth organizations, peace organizations, and the international community to join this global day of action, to continue the ongoing solidarity and resistance for Palestine in its multiple forms, and to uplift the steadfast struggle for the liberation of Palestine from the Zionist entity!
Long live international solidarity!
Long live Palestine!
