IWA calls on our sisters around the globe to demonstrate and speak out in solidarity with the families of those killed in the United States, because we know the impacts of militarization on our communities. All across the world, our sisters have stories to share about the impacts of militarization and imperialism on their communities. And while these stories vary, our hearts and minds are united to take action to bring imperialism to its knees.

The International Women’s Alliance demands the immediate unconditional release of former Representative Ariel Casialo and the six volunteers of Sagip Kanayunan and Tulong Anakpawis. During this crisis, enacting these type of fascist attacks against cause oriented groups and activists who are doing humanitarian and relief work only exposes to severe lack of care by the government to the Filipino people.

Around the world we are witnessing and participating in, an unprecedented number of popular movements where women are on the frontlines. After decades of neoliberal and imperialist policies, war and weapons-based economies, increased social insecurity and cutbacks in public services, forced migration and corporate rule over every aspect of life, have laid bare like never before the growing class inequalities, and people are saying Enough! 

Despots and tyrants and right-wing leaders still use violence against women to stem women’s resistance, to whip up divisions in the opposition while playing on reactionary patriarchal ideas to achieve their reactionary aims.

Though Kashmiris have faced repression, violence amounting to crimes against humanity, in the midst of whittling down of the constitutional guarantees for more than 70 years, the situation has worsened catastrophically since August 5, 2019 when the Government of India illegally and uncosntitutionally scrapped Article 370 and Article 35A. 

We call on all justice and peace loving women and people around the world to especially honor the women victims of Japanese military sexual slavery who bravely came out and brought light to the systemic use of sexual violence as a tool of war.

Amihan or the National Federation of Peasant Women condemned the recent massacre of 9 farm workers including 4 peasant women and 2 minors in Hacienda Nene, Purok Pine Tree, Brgy. Bulanon, Sagay City, Negros Occidental last night October 20. It was initially reported by the local media Aksyon Radyo Bacolod on its social media account, this morning. The National Federation of Sugar Workers (NFSW) said that the victims belonged to a group that recently occupied lands in the said town.
