Salinlahi Condemns US-Israel Imperialist Attack on Iran! Stop Killing Children!

Salinlahi Alliance for Children’s Concerns condemns to the highest degree yet another imperialist military aggression conducted by the United States and Israel. This latest attack had Iran as its target, bombing civilian populations in the city of Minab located in Southern Iran. News outlets report at least 115 girls killed in an air strike that hit a primary school.

Citing matters of “global security” and “nuclear threat”, the US justifies its long list of war crimes including the killing of children. History has shown that the US has never been the champion of democracy and peace. The US has trampled upon the sovereignty not just of Iran but also other oil-rich countries in the Middle East and South America, to the Asia Pacific region with countries like the Philippines abundant in its natural resources and strategic for its geopolitical interest against its rival China.

Salinlahi reiterates that children are among the most vulnerable and affected victims in times of armed conflict. They suffer from displacement, loss, and trauma from the bombings and ongoing instability. Salinlahi voices our concern about the lasting impacts of U.S military intervention on Iranian children: anxiety, fear, emotional distress, and disruption of routine. No child deserve to be collateral damage in wars driven by geopolitical interests of any state.

From Iran to Palestine to the Philippines, all children deserve safe, stable environments to grow up in, where their rights are upheld and respected.

We call on the international community and all child rights advocates to stand in solidarity with the Iranian people for their sovereignty and dignity and oppose U.S. imperialist aggression around the world!
