Oppose Imperialist and Zionist aggression! Stand with Iran!
The International Women's Alliance vehemently condemns the recent bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities by the United States, following a series of attacks against Iran by Western Media and "Israel".
On Saturday, June 21 US president Donald Trump ordered B2 bomber jets to illegally bomb 3 civilian nuclear sites in Iran. The B2 bombers were deployed earlier that same day from the US to Guam - an island in the Pacific that the US uses as a landing-pad by maintaining multiple military bases on the small island. Over the last sever years the US has been exponentially building up its military bases and capacity across the Pacific - using these to intensify pressure against China, the DPRK, and Iran by increasing proximity. Stealing land for military bases and equipment puts many more women and children at risk for displacement and violence, never knowing if the US military is there to wage war or simply to store its bombs on their doorsteps.
While the US repeats its failed strategy from the 2003 invasion of Iraq - its hypocrisy is stark. For decades the US has infringed on Iran’s sovereignty – insisting that that Iran cannot be trusted with nuclear technology, despite clear evidence that Iran's nuclear program is for peaceful use in order to develop civilian power plants. The US uses Iran's nuclear technology as the basis for repeated intervention, sanctions, and destabilization. But the US repeatedly turns a blind eye to the nuclear technology being developed in "Israel" and has gone as far to praise the Zionist Regime for its merciless genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and the occupied 1948 territories.
The US' hollow claims about Iran's plans to develop nuclear weapons run parallel to their claims of women's rights and human rights abuses by the Iranian Government. In reality, it is the US empire that is the biggest perpetrator of violence against women, and frequent violator of human rights. When the US and "Israel" have attacked Iran, it is the people who are impacted and hurt. Each time a bomb drops and the US claims a "spectacular success" - the reality is that civilian casualties, destruction of public services, and political destabilization have a lasting impact on all people in Iran, especially women. When "Israel" struck Iran on June 13, 35 of the 50 civilian casualties were women and children. The US and its cronies have long bombarded Iran with sanctions, international restrictions, and militarized attacks - it is clear that the US has no intention of liberating Iran, protecting its citizens, or spreading democracy - but instead is dead set on destabilizing and destroying a sovereign nation that stands in opposition.
For decades, the US has attempted to intervene by using counter-insurgency and pink-washing to undercut the important role Iran plays in staunchly opposing and confronting US-Imperialism by asserting its national independence. Iran faces extreme scrutiny and acts-of-war due to its key role in the Axis of Resistance - which opposes Zionist occupation and expansionism - as well as its direct opposition to the US through its oil production. The US has desperately tried to gain control of the region through proxy wars, dictatorships, and psy-ops to destabilize any country that opposes it. To stand strong and to refuse to be worn down by the strong-arm tactics of US imperialism shows the courage and dedication Iran has to opposing US imperialism around the world.
It is clear that the US is trying to stalk its prey and maintain its position as the strongest nuclear nation in the world. But we know that the United states is nothing but a paper tiger hiding behind outsized military spending, sanctions, hollow claims and puppet regimes - and it does not stand a chance against the people waging liberation struggles and the countries asserting Independence. From Guam and the Philippines in the Pacific - to Iran, Palestine, and Yemen in West Asia - the people will set the paper tiger aflame and win their liberation!
